FAQ

Common questions

Short answers about repair, pricing, reports, donations, and what happens at check-in.

Do I need to know what is wrong?

No. Tell us what the computer is doing in normal words. We will help figure out the next step.

Do I need an appointment?

Appointments are recommended. Hardware repair begins with in-person check-in.

Are prices fixed?

Listed prices are starting points. We explain the likely cost before you approve the work.

Will I get documentation after service?

Yes. After check-in you receive an order number and access code. Use Order Status & Reports to download the final plain-English report.

Do you support small businesses?

Yes. CTG helps with workstations, Wi-Fi, backups, printers, setup, and practical support planning.

Can I donate old computers or parts?

Yes, CTG may accept select computers, parts, and electronics for review. Acceptance depends on condition, safety, storage media, and recycling requirements.

What happens to data on donated devices?

Storage devices are handled separately. Ask about drive removal, wiping, or destruction during intake. Do not assume data is removed unless that service is requested and documented.

Still unsure?

It is okay if you do not know which price applies.

Tell us what is happening. CTG will inspect the device and explain the likely cost before you approve the work.
